The Avalanches are a plunderphonics and psychedelic hip hop group formed in Melbourne, Australia. After humble beginnings as a ‘noise punk’ outfit , the group shifted to using samples as the main component of their compositions. Their debut album ‘Since I Left You’ reached mainstream, worldwide acclaim and has procured The Avalanches an influential position in distinguished electronic music.
